CPAP Cleaning Routine

A realistic cleaning routine may help support comfort and equipment care without turning maintenance into guesswork.

Keep the routine simple

A routine you can repeat is better than a complicated one you avoid. Start with the manufacturer instructions for your mask, tubing, chamber, and filters.

Do not confuse cleaning with replacement

Cleaning may help with comfort and hygiene, but worn cushions, stretched headgear, old filters, or cloudy chambers may still need replacement.

Be careful with big claims

If a cleaner or sanitizer promises too much, check the device maker's guidance. Some products may not be recommended for every machine or mask.
